The Création Botswana National Roadshow

The Création Botswana National Roadshow marked the official launch of our journey to strengthen and spotlight the local fashion industry. As a nationwide activation tour, the roadshow served as the foundational step in our broader mission—raising awareness about the program, connecting with designers, and identifying emerging talent from across the country.

 

From Palapye to Kanye, Francistown to Maun, and all the way to Kasane, Ghanzi, and Gaborone, the Création Botswana team travelled across Botswana to ensure that creatives from every corner of the nation had the opportunity to engage. Each stop featured informational sessions, interactive discussions, and hands-on engagements designed to inspire participation and open doors to the wider program.

 

The roadshow also functioned as our primary on-the-ground awareness campaign, offering aspiring and established fashion designers a chance to learn more about Création Botswana and apply for the opportunity to be part of the program. It created space for dialogue, visibility, and inclusivity, ensuring that the program would be reflective of Botswana’s rich and diverse creative talent.

 

By reaching communities outside of major urban centres, the National Roadshow embodied the core values of accessibility, representation, and community-building—principles that continue to guide Création Botswana. It wasn’t just a promotional tour; it was a celebration of the potential that lives within the Botswana fashion industry.

 

The roadshow laid the groundwork for our application and selection process, ensuring that Création Botswana would begin with a strong, diverse cohort of passionate individuals ready to shape the future of fashion in Botswana and beyond.
